Product: know where it comes from and how it is made. We all have choices.
Any company can make something out of any farmed cotton and call it green. Our approach
is deeper. We ask where the materials come from, who makes them, how are they made,
what resources and how much are consumed to do so, what are the conditions, what
is the eco-footprint, and more. Our goal of making products that are substantially
better eco, social, function and design choices than comparable competing products
drives us to find better materials and better methods and then encourage and enhance
the efforts of those people. To embed change, we must reward the change agents and
expand their opportunities. In this way, we feel, we can create products that make
a difference.
