GreenSmart supports The Nature Conservancy, the mission of which is to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.

GreenSmart supports the Natural Resources Defense Council, one of the most effective environmental action groups in the U.S. Their mission is to safeguard the Earth: its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends.

GreenSmart supports the following organizations through membership,

financial contributions, product donations and philosophical alignment.

Since 2008, GreenSmart has proudly sponsored this traveling education center as it tours the country every summer bringing the enthusiasm of college students together with the interest of the public, nationwide.

Teens Turning Green is a national movement of teens transforming the world through investigating harmful exposures in daily lives, schools and communities, advocating for change in policy and habits to protect our world, and educating peers and the community about healthier choices.

In 2009, GreenSmart became the first company in western Nevada County to be certified. Keep the Sierra Green is a program to recognize businesses in the community that practice sustainable ecological and economic practices in the Sierra Nevada.

Pride’s mission is to provide jobs for people with disabilities. They handle all of our fulfillment as well as frequently preparing many other projects. We have proudly used Pride for services since 1997.

Affiliations

GreenSmart supports the FLA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending sweatshop conditions in factories worldwide. The FLA calls for greater accountability and transparency from manufacturers, factories and others involved in global supply chains, and creating lasting solutions to exploitative labor practices. Their mission: protecting workers’ rights and improving working conditions worldwide.

The mission of the NRC is to eliminate waste and promote sustainable economies through advancing sound management practices for raw materials in North America.

GreenSmart supports WasteWise, an EPA partnership program helping U.S. organizations eliminate costly municipal solid waste, benefiting the bottom line and the environment.
